Today, Bell & Ross welcomes its fifth model in the LUM line, a collection of watches that was started with the launch in 2017 of the BR 03-92 HOROLUM.
The new model, the BR 03-92 GREY LUM joins the rest of the models in the line up, from the BR 03-94 HOROLUM (chronograph), BR 03-92 NIGHTLUM (2018) and BR 03-92 FULL LUM (2019). The “LUM” suffix in the names of these watches refers to the word “lumière”, which is “light” in French, which directly references the key feature of the lineup.
In a word – Super-LumiNova® C3. It is a generous application of the material on the indices and the Arabic hour numerals, painted on directly or sandwiched style like the BR 03-92 HOROLUM.
The key benefit of this material is that legibility is top notch with the light green numerals and indices highly visible in the day. By night, the Super-LumiNova® C3 achieves 100% relative brightness and does so more quickly and with high intensity. Also, the discharge time is superior to other types of luminescent paint, retaining low-light readability of up to 8 hours after fully charged.
The case of the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 GREY LUM is of a satin-finished stainless steel, and the anthracite grey dial has a sun-ray pattern. This new watch follows the design tendencies of the rest of the LUM series by having a modernist monochromatic colour palette which makes the watch look very elegant, in contrast to its more military oriented siblings.
